The issue of sex trafficking has been laid very heavy on my heart.
Fighting it has become an extremely important aspect of my life.
In High School, I founded the STOP Trafficking of People club,
to encourage students to get involved in the fight to end human trafficking.
It is still active at several high schools and universities today.
From 2017-2020, I served with Agape International Missions
in their fight to end sex trafficking.
Their mission is to prevent trafficking and to rescue,
restore and reintegrate survivors through the hope of Christ Jesus.
I worked as the Policy and Administration Coordinator at the
Restoration Home providing rehabilitation and care for rescued survivors.
After 3 years in Cambodia, I returned to California and joined Arukah Project,
a faith-based non-profit that works to restore, renew, and rebuild
the lives of survivors of sex trafficking in Santa Cruz County.
Arukah is a Hebrew word that means restoring to wholeness.
I am confident in God's call for me in anti-trafficking ministry
and honored to be a part of His work.
“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners
and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free,
to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
